Home  School Council

The S.T.A.R.S. Academy consists of the school principal, school supervisor, teachers, Instructional Assistants, and Personal Assistants and parents/guardians.  It is a collaborative group that works closely with the school principal.  The Home School Council has elected parent officers.  The council holds monthly meetings.  All parents are encouraged to attend and be an active participant.  

The goal of this council is to bridge the gap between home and school.  It is to provide strong communication with parents as to academic requirements, events, activities, and expectations of our students. 

The school council members encourage parent involvement in decision making so the best possible environment and academic experience can be reached by all students.  The council encourages parents to share concerns and suggestions. 

The Home School Council organizes Back to School Night and each Report Card Night.  The council works to provide various presenters during these events and information that will better serve our students and parents.
